tips & tricks -
promoting your fundraiser -
keys to success
TEST
1. Keep copies of the order
forms and invoices
Always keep copies of the order forms that you send to your
fundraising company.
2. Recruit & appoint adult volunteers ahead
of time.
This will make the distribution of the raffle books to the
children/participants more efficient. Your appointed helpers will
assist you with the distribution, recording and collection of all
raffle tickets and monies. Fundraising Adventures provide you with
Raffle Distribution and Tally Sheets to help you keep track of
distributed & returned tickets and money.
3. Watch for hidden costs
Don’t let your school/organisation’s profits disappear because of
hidden costs. The Fundraising Adventures raffle package covers all
costs including: -
-
First, Second, Third & *Fourth Prizes
(Red Pack includes 3 prizes only)
-

name of your organisation
-

to encourage and motivate your ticket sellers.

you to keep a record of distributed & returned books and money

-

books and raffle prizes
4. Give yourself & your group
lots of time to prepare.
Select your fundraising program early. This will give you lots of
time to plan.
5. Timing
Make sure to stagger the various fundraisers to avoid flooding your
potential consumers and to avoid competing with other fundraisers.
6. Set up specific dates and
stick to them
If you avoid setting clear target dates the campaign tends to drag
on and often without direction. Fundraising Adventures provide with
an easy to follow ‘TO DO LIST’. All you need to do is follow it
dating and initialing every step.
7.
Identify families and participants
that do not want to be involved
If you have families who constantly refuse to take part or return
product issued to them for fundraising purposes, why not send them a
letter asking them if they would like to take part. This avoids
discrimination and an opportunity to decide if they would like to
take part without feeling embarrassed. (Just ask your fundraising
consultant for a copy of the letter)
8.
Don’t over order
It is much better to under order than over order. We suggest that
you only order one raffle book per family. A small number of people
will return unsold books and these can then be re-distributed to
families who wish to sell more raffle tickets.
9. Be Pro-Active
Don’t just sit back and hope that the fundraiser will go well
without your input. IT WON’T. Be sure to follow our ‘TO DO LIST”
